About Ice Cream Magazine

One accountable publisher, four house desks, and one published evidence standard.

Our Mission

Ice Cream is a Fort Collins local magazine built to help readers make a better next decision about ice cream. We publish what the record supports.

Visits, tastings, interviews, observed scenes, and quotes appear only when the reporting file contains the corresponding receipt or named public source. Anything else is attributed or omitted.

What We Do

We publish reviews, rankings, guides, dietary coverage, trails, and culture features. Each format belongs to one desk with a repeatable method, a distinct voice, and the same sourcing ladder.

How Reviews & Rankings Work

The Counter scores every review on Flavor, Texture, Value, The Room, and Dietary Range, and labels record-based judgments separately from receipt-backed tasting. The Scoop prints the criteria behind every ranking. Read the current rankings and formula.

Masthead & Standards

Travis Bergsgaard is the real, reachable Publisher & Editor-in-Chief. The four desk bylines are editorial pen names he uses for distinct kinds of work; they are not four employees and carry no invented personal biography or portrait.

Ice Cream Fort Collins is published by Travis Bergsgaard. Articles are produced by our editorial desks — The Scoop, The Counter, The Dipper, and The Churn — under one set of published standards. The desks publish under the pen names Miles Rowan, Sarah Mitchell, June Hart, and Theo Bell, with contributions from real local freelance writers when credited.

Editorial Independence

Advertising never buys an assignment, rank, score, or favorable verdict. Every business receives the same published framework, and every advertiser mention receives a plain-language disclosure.
